INDEX OR TABLE OF CONTENTS OR SUMMARY

It is the index or summary of the work.

In it, all its fundamental aspects must be collected, recording in the right margin the page in which the content of that aspect is found.

A table or complete index, which relates, the different chapters and epigraphs of the thesis, will help to give a clearer notion of its content and to facilitate its management in practice.

All the titles that differentiate the sections or sections in which the content of the thesis and the complementary material are divided will be listed in this item.

Carefully check that the page number referred to in the index matches the one that actually occupies the document.

It will be headed with the word INDEX (OR TABLE OF CONTENTS according to the preference of the author) in sustained capital letters, properly centered at six centimeters from the upper edge.

The titles corresponding to the chapters of the text will be written in capital letters, preceded by the corresponding order number and separated from it by a point and a space. The indication of the corresponding page will be placed

to the right margin in the form of a column headed by the abbreviation “Page”.

The titles corresponding to the different sections in which each chapter is divided will be written in lowercase, preceded by the corresponding order number and two spaces. An indentation will be used so that the numeral appears at the same level as the chapter title begins. On the right your location in the thesis will be indicated.

The titles corresponding to the sub-chapters, or third division level of the chapter, will be written in lowercase and preceded by the corresponding numeral and two spaces. They will have a indentation such that the numeral appears at the same level as the title of the section begins. On the right, the page on which it is located will be indicated.

The procedure will be similar if there is a greater degree of subdivision.

The titles corresponding to the complementary material (sources and bibliography, annexes and others) will be written in capital letters and will indicate the page in which they are.

In the Index there will be a separation of two spaces between each row.
